As the president and founder of Magellan Corporate Strategies Inc., Paul provides strategic guidance to the company. Born in Calgary, Paul entered the investment industry after completing his studies in Economics and Political Science at the University of Calgary. In 2001, he embarked on a yearlong journey around the world and saw firsthand the crushing poverty and economic inequalities that exist in many developing countries. When he returned to the investment industry, he started a quest to find new solutions to old problems that existed within the international development sector. In 2004, Paul founded Fig Tree Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at engaging Calgarians and raising funds for the international development community in the city. Now, through Magellan CSI, Paul is bringing his astute business sense to the international development community. He seeks to bridge the gap between business interests, social responsibility and good development principles.
